Live Blogging the Eagles vs. Giants

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

I’m going to try something here… live blogging the Eagles / Giants game. I might not make it to the end of the game (I have to get up early tomorrow) but we’ll see how far I get.
8:19pm - They just said Westbrook is not playing… uh oh.
8:24pm - Eagles kickoff, Giants down it and […]

Holy Crap! The Phillies won the NL East!

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

What an incredible finish! The Phillies seem to have finally earned the nickname “The Fighting Phils” by coming from 7 games back to overtake the Mets. Of course the Mets helped tremendously by completely collapsing in the stretch, but it’s important to note that the Phillies swept the Mets to get that collapse started.
So, we […]

CD Update: The Week In Review - Lots of Podcasts

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

Well, another good week! A lot of podcast shows (6) played songs from the album last week and the Internet Radio Shows have been playing 3 songs quite a bit: When The World Comes Down On You, Rittenhouse Square, and Save Me.
I’m starting to run low on CDs (I didn’t get a ton made), so […]

My dinner with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Here’s an excellent report of the dinner with Iranian President Ahmadinejad! He had dinner with a number of leading American journalists. I read reports that the dinner took place, but I haven’t seen any news articles or reports telling what was discussed (I probably just missed them).

CD Update: The Week in Review, iTunes, Others

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

Wow! It’s been a week since Rittenhouse Square was released and I’m very happy with the response it’s received. So I thought I’d give everyone an update on what’s been happening:
First, I want to thank each of you that bought a CD! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your support really means a lot to […]

Phillies Lose, Mets Win (barely) - 2.5 GB

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

The Phillies don’t have a lot of room for error, so it’s kind of depressing to note that they lost to the Nats today and the Mets pulled one out against the Marlins in extra innings:

Eagles 56, Lions 21 - Sweet!

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

I don’t think the Eagles have scored this many points since…… the last time they played the Lions.
I don’t know if they righted the ship or not, but this was pretty impressive all around. Maybe it was the blue and gold uniforms. Maybe it was the fans booing McNabb during the preshow. Maybe the Lions […]

Have you ever seen an IED explode?

Friday, September 21st, 2007

When you hear the term “IED” mentioned during news reports of attacks on the troops in Iraq, this is what they are talking about:

Luckily it looks like no one got hurt with this one. IEDs, or Improvised Explosive Devices, are either buried in the roadway or planted in culverts that run under roads by terrorists.

Phillies beat Nats, Mets Lose, Phils 1.5 GB Again

Friday, September 21st, 2007

They’re still in it. And it doesn’t look good for the Mets:

Michael Yon: Hunting Al Qaeda Part III of III

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

The last part of a series of dispatches from Michael Yon in Iraq:
Some of the 1920s were about 300 meters down the road by now, and walking into the ambush that had apparently been set for us. BOOOOOMMMM! The detonation looked like it must have killed five or ten of them. What comes next is […]

Rather files $70 million lawsuit against CBS

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

LOL
Let’s see…
1. I anchored a news segment that used forged documents to attack the President.
2. I then refused to acknowledge that the documents were forged.
3. After evidence is produced to prove the documents are forged, I still stand by the story by saying it was still “true” - the infamous “Fake But Accurate” defense.
4. […]

Mets win, Phils lose… back to 2.5 GB

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Mets beat the Nats last night to end their losing streak. The Phils lost to the Cards 2-1 in 10 innings. They are now 2.5 games back:

Donavan, just shut up and play

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

It seems like whenever his skills are in question, he throws this kind of stuff out there:
McNabb: Black QBs face greater scrutiny
In an interview on HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” to be broadcast Tuesday, McNabb said black quarterbacks “have to do a little bit extra” because there are relatively few of them, adding “people […]

Student Tazered

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

I think this might be a hoax and poor John Kerry (God, I can’t believe I just wrote that!) is caught in the middle… at least I hope that’s the case. If not, then this is a great case of out of control cops.
