I’m going to try something here… live blogging the Eagles / Giants game. I might not make it to the end of the game (I have to get up early tomorrow) but we’ll see how far I get.

8:19pm - They just said Westbrook is not playing… uh oh.

8:24pm - Eagles kickoff, Giants down it and will start at the 20.

8:28pm - Giants punting. They had a good run at first, but got a penalty that called it back. Bad punt… Whoops, Eagles fumble… waiting… they got it back on their 34.

8:31pm - Giants are putting alot of pressure on McNabb. They just sacked him. One thing that Detroit didn’t do last week was pressure McNabb and the receivers and he picked them apart. The Eagles have punted and the Giants have it at their 29.

8:35pm - 1st down Giant @ their 41. Eli completes a pass! We can’t let him feel confident…

8:37pm - Another 1st down. They’re in Eagles territory now.

8:39pm - Another 1st down. Come on guys… and… another 1st down. Eli’s getting settled. We need to bang him up.

8:42pm - There we go! Giants have to go for a field goal… and missed!!!! HA HA

8:46pm - Nice run by the Eagles… but McNabb threw a couple too low.

8:48pm - God d**n it! McNabb sacked. Eagles punting… make that a poor punt. Giants at their 22.

8:52pm - Nice sack on Eli by Jevon Kearse! LOL… a Giant just leapfrogged over one of the Eagles dbacks.

8:53pm - Eli is getting way too much time… and now a stupid defensive holding penalty. Ugh…

8:57pm - Eli goes deeeeeeep… and Plexico drops it. Oh well.

8:59pm - Incomplete pass. Giants have to punt… caught by Reno to the Eagles 26.

9:02pm - McNabb goes deeeeeep… but Reggie Brown wasn’t fast enough. Incomplete.

9:04pm - #&$^%@*!@#*!!!!! McNabb sacked (again). Eagles punting… Giants have it at the Eagles 49.

9:07pm - Eli passes to Toomer but there’s a flag… it’s against the Eagles. Figures…

9:08pm - Eli passes to Toomer again and picks up about 16 or 17 yds. He’s getting comfortable… I prefer Eli with the deer in headlghts look.

9:09pm - Eli passes to Berris - touchdown. It was a good catch… they get the PA. Giants 7 Eagles 0.

9:12pm - Giants kickoff… JR Reed receives and gets it to the 24. But another stupid hloding penalty.

9:16pm - False start penalty. Come on guys! This is going to be a long night. I guess I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue!

9:17pm - McNabb is sacked throws it to Mahe and picks up the 1st down! Nice…

9:19pm - Another nice pass from McNabb for 1st down. Strahan sacks McNabb. What the hell is going on with the O-Line.

9:20pm - Buckhalter runs for the 1st down. Nice. Got the crowd to shut up a bit.

9:21pm - It looks like its starting to come together a bit. Buckhalter is looking pretty good.

9:22pm - Buckhalter again for another 1st down.

9:26pm - God d**n it! McNabb almost sacked. Ball swatted down.

9:27pm - McNabb throws an incomplete pass intended for Reggie Brown. Ackers is coming out… and it’s off… and it’s… NO GOOD. Ugh… Did I mention that I think it’s going to be a long night?

9:30pm - Giants take over. Michaels and Madden must’ve hit the hotel bar before going to the booth. Their banter is getting very strange…

9:31pm - Personal foul against the Eagles (of course). I wonder how many penalties they have already? Not good Andy… not good.

9:36pm - Eagles offsides… did I mention there have been a few penalties tonight?

9:37pm - YES!!!!! Gaither intercepts Eli!!!!!! to the 40 something…

9:39pm - Another false start penalty. Come on… jeez…

9:40pm - WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another freaking false start penalty!

9:41pm - 2nd and 19. Dropped pass. 3rd and 19…

9:42pm - McNabb wasn’t even ready for that last snap and he fumbles… it’s recovered by the Eagles. What the heck is going on?!?! Giants take over.

Half Time

9:58pm - Giants kickoff - JR Reid to the 24.

9:59pm - The Eagles have to settle down. It’s already 3rd down… and McNabb’s sacked (again). Eagles punt - Giants at their 44.

10:06pm - Eli thows an incomplete. Giants punting - Giants down it on the 1. And with the way the Eagles O is playing, that IS NOT GOOD.

10:10pm - McNabb to Brown for about 6 yds.

10:11pm - 7th sack of McNabb… this is a joke. Back to the 1. I picked the wrong game to start liveblogging! And I picked the wrong day to stop drinking… Eagles punt and the Giants take over around midfield. Where the hell is the O line?

10:15pm - Giants don”t do anything… looks like another punt. Giants punt - Eagles get it on their 4…

10:18pm - Buckhalter gains a little breathing room (like a yard). On 2nd down, Buckhalter gets about 6 more.

10:20pm - Hunt runs and picks up the 1st down.

10:21pm - Sack #8. Does the O Line even care? It’s like they haven’t even shown up. Maybe they’re reading this blog…

10:22pm - They’re punting again… Giants get it at their 34.

10:25pm - Eli to Shockey to the Eagles 48.

10:26pm - Ward runs to the 42. Eli goes deeeep and… pass interference. They got their legs tripped up. 32 yd. penalty. 1st and goal.

10:28pm - 3rd and goal now. Eagles almost sacked Eli. He gets it off to Plexico. 4th down. Field goal unit comes out… and it’s good. Giants 10, Eagles 0 - zip - nada.

10:31pm - Giants kickoff, JR Reid receives, takes it to the 26. McNabb passes it to Brown (9 yds) but there’s a flag… and it’s against the Eagles (was there ever a doubt?). 2nd down and 10.

10:32pm - McNabb fumbles and the Giants run it in for a touchdown. I wonder who McNabb will blame tomorrow? Reid is challenging the fumble saying that the Giant player that recovered the fumble was down by contact… commercial time…

10:36pm - The play stands. Giants 16, Eagles 0. Giants miss the PA.

10:38pm - Giants kickoff - Eagles take it to the 24.

10:39pm - McNabb to Curtis, about 9 yds. and it’s about time. Buckhalter picks up the 1st down.

10:40pm - McNabb to Avant - picks up another 1st down. Eagles on their 48.

10:43pm - Buckhalter picks up about 4. Into Giants territory. McNabb throws to Celek to gain 10.

10:44pm - McNabb throws to Curtis. Eagles at Giants 26. I have to admit, it’s getting better, a little better, all the time (it can’t get no worse) - Lennon/McCartney

10:46pm - McNabb gets smacked hard, incomplete pass.

10:47pm - Eagles try a screen pass, but without Westbrook, why should they bother? Did they just show Andy Reid with a tear running down his cheek? He looked like that Indian looking at the trash on the side of the road…

10:48pm - McNabb sacked for a 9th time. Eagles were going to go for a field goal, but screwed that up too. Eagles time out. And time for me to get another beer!

10:50pm - Ackers tries for a 53 yd field goal… and makes it. Giants 16, Eagles 3. How many fantasy football guys started McNabb after last week’s game? And what lucky SOB has the Giants D?

10:53pm - Eagles kickoff, Giants get it at their 33. Eli throws it to Matthews for about 4 yd gain.

10:55pm - Ward runs for about 4. 3rd and 2.

10:56pm - False start and it wasn’t against the Eagles. 3rd and 7. Eli throws an incomplete pass. Giants to punt.

10:57pm - Giants punt, Eagles get it at their 29. Did you know that the Phillies won the NL East today? Just trying to stay positive.

10:59pm - McNabb to Buckhalter. It almost gets intercepted but the Giant dropped it.

11:00pm - McNabb scrambles and loses a couple. Next play, sack #10. This is a complete, freaking joke. McNabb needs to be wearing a windbreaker with the way the Giants are running right through the Eagles O Line. Did I tell you this is a freaking joke?

11:04pm - Giants are going to start running down the clock. At their 49. 2nd and 1.

11:05pm - Giants 1st down. Sports radio in Philly will be schizophrenic tomorrow between the Phillies and the Eagles.

11:06pm - Giants are just pounding away and eating up the clock. About 7:30 left. One more Giant score and I’m going to bed. Eli gets pressured and throws an incomplete pass. Time to punt.

11:08pm - Giants punt, Mahe takes it up to the 23. McNabb throws to Brown for about 4.

11:09pm - Buckhalter picks up 4 for a 1st down.

11:10pm - Another false start. The O Line sucks… Buckhalter is the one bright spot. He catches a pass and almost picks up the 1st down.

11:11pm - McNabb does a QB Sneak and picks up the 1st down. McNabb to Schoebel for another 1st down.

11:12pm - McNabb to Buckhalter for another 1st down.

11:13pm - McNabb to a wide open Buckhalter for another 1st down. Eagles on the Giants 16.

11:14pm - About 2:45 left. Buckhalter gets tackled behind the line, loses about 4. 2nd and 14.

11:15pm - McNabb gets hurried and throws it away. 3rd and 14.

11:16pm - McNabb throws to Reggie Brown for a TD! But there’s a flag… McNabb was across the line of scrimmage. Loss of down, 4th down. Eagles going for it. This is it………

11:17pm - McNabb hit and fumbles. Eagles recover but it doesn’t matter. Oh well… good night!
